Usable greenhouse

I use a mod "base in the forest" which has a greenhouse. That is nice and all but with the way the author made it, you can only use the northern half of it (it has a sidewalk dividing it) and the southern side is useless because you always want to "smash the glass". Maybe as a thought, be able to pick-up broken glass shards and with a proper carpentry level,  be able to make a glass ceiling.
