[Singleplayer] [No Mods] Game breaking visual/UI glitch. (Re-up on one from about a year ago)

Hello again, wanna say I am a big fan of this game and would love to figure out what my problem here is. Seems to be the textures involving water and cars

The link to the old thread is here, and I have tried all the fixes that the Moderator on that post had recommended. 

I have then since upgraded my pc a little bit by going from 16gb of ram to 32 and upgrading my GPU from a Nvidia1650 super to a 2070 super.

My render Latency on my Nvidia Gigabyte 2070 super also spikes to around 2,000,000MS whenever I am looking tat he game while the bug is occurring, which is frankly a little high.

Any help would be appreciated because I just wanna be able to play the game for more than 30 mins without having to restart because that is the only fix.

Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
And can you share screenshots + all the info you mentioned? Such as the graphics card, perhaps show a graph for it? Since that itself might indicate a graphic issue.

The dips in the graphs are from Zomboid minimizing and maximizing. Other than that my graphics card seemed to not be doin anything crazy. Hope you can find something I'm missing

The game itself seems to be running just fine, and the drivers themselves look good as well. Did you reinstall your Windows as well after upgrading your hardware? And are those screenshots up to date as well? Since the ones you sent have an older version in the right corner than the current game version.

I have not reinstalled windows since I've gotten new hardware. The screenshots were from what the cars looked like the first couple times I encountered it. 

When the bug happens it seems to only effect reflective and shiny objects but the rest of the world won't load correctly, such as I will walk into a house and the walls wont fall down to show my character or what is inside. I can get some more screenshots of the game bugging out if they would help. did you see the video of it linked in the first post?

I attached two photos below. As you can see in them, the reflective texture glitch wasn't exactly the same as the previous photos but the shimmering chrome parts are related to the bug. This time however it occurred while I had the game paused and didn't effect the buildings. I could walk in and interact individually but the auto open loot was not working and I couldn't see anything on the floor. (I also just realized they were taken in the same location as well lol.)

Both photos were taken today. no changes to anything yet but I will do a reinstall of windows now to see if that is the issue.

 

*edit: The render latency was not high this time which was peculiar but on previous times it was over 2-3million milliseconds.

This would certainly be some sort of windows issue then, since it lasted even a hardware change. So we confirmed that it is not a game error due to the lack of error logs and it is not a hardware issue since you switched out your graphics card correct? So the only thing thats the same between the issue now and then is your Windows.

Maybe stupid thing to ask but do u have nvidia GeForce Experience to update your graphic drivers ?
Do you have windows HDR enabled ?

I have been playing for hours and the bug has ceased to exist. looks like it was some windows error. Too bad I had to wipe my computer to fix it but all is well that ends well. Thanks for the support and expedited replies!

Unfortunately it seems I may have jumped the gun. I had the same bug occur again. Walls wouldn't unload/load correctly, stuck in the right click stance unable to attack. Here are some screenshots and the log.zip file to see if anything catches someone's eye.

The right click bug sounds totally different from the graphical issues you described before, it would seem like this might be hardware related? Have you tried pressing alt-tab and see if you can use the mouse outside of the game normally while this is happening?

Do you have problems with any other game or just project zomboid?
Maybe your ram or graphic card is damaged so u should contact them to help you out. 
Update your bios. Try different hdmi / display port cable.
Did u upgrade to 4x 8gb or 2x 16gb. Anyway try to take off again to 16 gb and we could see if this is problem related to RAM.

        No problems with any other game. Zomboid is the only one with a bug. Have not been able to find anything like this any where so I'm guessing that it could be a computer specific bug.

 

 

        I can use my computer while the bug is happening but Zomboid itself ceases to work as before, graphically the game breaks and stops rendering my perspective or alters what some textures look like. Every time it occurs unless I'm driving a car it forces me into the right click mode, apologies for leaving that out.

Do you perhaps have any programs running in the background? Any overlays specifically? I can only imagine this happening if for example an overlay tries to draw on the game, and that might cause an issue with the game rendering, and it would also have a side effect of trying to take away your mouse control (because of the overlay)

I have the same issue. Nothing seems to work for me either.

I have Geforce gtx 1060 3GB, and 16GB ram. Has anyone found a fix for this, because this makes the game completely unplayable.
