1993.

KNOX COUNTY is as quiet as ever…

 

As people go about their daily commutes, and begin preparations for September. But something has become unearthed in the Alaskan Permafrost- sent to Knox for testing, whatever it is- a prion, virus, something, begins spreading across Knox County. March Ridge and Fort Knox are in anarchy by the end of the first day, no conclusion coming to how contaminated or contained it was. All they knew was-

 

It makes the dead rise, and they are more than hostile.

 

Maldraugh, Ekron, Riverside, and West Point are overrun with pre-dead infected and the dead within 3 days. Knox County has become the catalyst for the Apocalypse. With the military hastily preparing a wall around Knox, and protecting Louisville from infected migrating towards the border zone, Knox County becomes one big exclusion zone by order of POTUS on September 1st, 1993, 5 days after the initial infection. On September 1st, an improvised airstrip, constructed hastily by members of the National Guard, welcomes migrant survivors, and hastily executes any infected victims trying to enter. 

 

Within a week, Knox County has become an exclusion zone- the dead are hungering for human flesh, and they begin to smell blood in the water at the airstrip. 

This is where your story begins. You are one of the survivors who migrated to the Airstrip in hope for evacuation.

 

There is hope… but the question is- will it triumph over the dead?

Rivercity Roleplay is an in depth, character oriented, serious voice roleplaying server. We heavily emphasize quality over quantity, and are currently looking for dedicated, part-time players willing to give feedback, come to events, and participate in the lore. We have 100~ mods to spice up the gameplay and generally add flavour, QOL, and other features to the world- while also having a custom, ingame-built map with multiple things to find and explore. Our lore is deep, indepth, and heavily inspired by games such as TLOU, TWD, NMRIH, and L4D2.
