Server stuck on 41.71, won't update

Greetings,

i've got a selft hosted server running on ubuntu. I'm using steamcmd to install the server, and run app_update 380870 validate command thru it, but the command runs and validates game files and says it's the latest version, while it's running 41.71 when i actually start the server up. I don't have any mods running. I can play the game when i select in my steam in the game client to use the legacy 41.71 build, but i want to play the latest build if possible, Am i doing something wrong? how can i force the update of the server to the latest version?

Figured it our, i was running the server from an old install constantly, when i switched it up to the new server location (the default one in steam folder) it started the new version. I guess i did the initial install into the /opt/pzserver folder, but forgot about it...
