velleda Posted December 2, 2022 Share Posted December 2, 2022 Is it possible to, when hosting a server, make the admin not actually need to be in the world for the server to run? I'm asking this because making a dedicated server can be too complex for some people when they just want to play the game with friends but don't want their character dying when they just want to leave the server open for their friends. I use a docker container for me and some friends ("afey/zomboid") - easy to host and manage, needs no maintaining and just works (aside from server state info which we don't really need).
