Black screen after character selection

Hello everyone, 

My friends and I recently started renting a dedicated server together. All of my friends are able to access the server and get in game, but I have not been able to. I am able to join, and start character selection, but then get a black screen with music after selecting. I am on MAC and all of my friends are on PC not sure if this is the cause of the problem but we have been having a hard time solving it. I have been able to join my friends servers that they created on their own computers and still can (can also do solo mode with no problem), it seems when we set up the dedicated server this has become an issue. Not sure where to go from here.

Can you try joining any random public servers as well? Just so we can know if this would be an issue with joining ANY servers or if it would be a problem with this specific server.

Ok I have tried joining random public servers and have had no issues. Only our server gives me the black screen after character selection.

Thanks that is good to know, in that case does your friends server have any mods enabled? And if it does, have you tried disabling the mods on it to see if you can login?
