How exactly does refrigeration and freezing work?

I am seriously interested in the question of what percentages, coefficients, etc. are superimposed on products when cooled in the refrigerator or frozen? And how are these coefficients affected by world settings on the efficiency of refrigerators?

I looked through a couple of wiki and tried to find an answer to this question on the forum, but unfortunately I did not find anything concrete.
