game randomly freezes

game randomly freezes and crashes whole CPU hard button restart, never doing anything in particular sometimes at trait screen. running mods

Looks like it originates from the AMD driver. It might be worth seeing if there's any optional driver updates and trying the latest out, as it's failing somewhere it really shouldn't have issues with (drawing the mouse cursor in this case).

I have problems with the game having short freezes every once in awhile. 

 

Is this related to that? What do I do?

You would need to share the logs and provide info about your PC as the other user did for us to be able help you.

Generally if the whole PC crashes due to a game it would indicate a hardware problem, have you perhaps overclocked anything on your PC?

I have not overclocked anything, only seems to happen when playing PZ not other games

Can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”? Since the logs themselves don't show much info, this file is generally created if the crash is graphics related.
