Liva98989
Okay so for those of you who doesn't know, but when some vegetables goes rotten sprouts will grow out of them, and you can then plant them in your garden. Some of these are potatos, cabbages, etc.If we take potatos as an example.google potato sprouts, that's the plant that will grow out of the potato, you'll need to plant it so it is sitting up through the soil, then just water it etc. and it will after a long time make around 4-8 potatos (See potato plants) So let's replant some of that rotten food! Walther
neat idea, I like it.But, and I ask that out of curiosity, cabbage is growing sprouts when rotten? never seen that before...Potatoes yeah sure, valid point. in addition to this... might rotten plants be useful as fertilizer? Ewok
Gets a like from me. A practical, simple and effective use of rotten veg. in addition to this... might rotten plants be useful as fertilizer? Rotten food to fertiliser has already been covered at least once, but I don't think I've seen this one suggested.
EnigmaGrey
A potato managing to make it to seed is a little different than one just rotting, though. The rotten ones just turn to mush and roots.
Kajin
Yeah, a rotting potato is a little ball of disease that will spread to the other plants in the area unless you put it in a compost pile to give it time to decompose all the way through.
