Shotgun won't shot

I'm playing the 23 built and I have just found a shotgun. I loaded six shells, aimed and... <click>. Nothing, chamber looks empty. I can't load more shells and can't fire.

Did anyone have that kind of a problem with shotgun?

I don't have a shotgun in the game, but are you sure you unpacked the shells out of the containers? There is a glitch that you can magically load a gun with the ammo in a container, same with planks for some clients. But the client has no response, so, empty.

If they are unpacked, try sawing the shotgun.

This happened to me last night with the pistol in build 21, ran a search and a few people experienced the same problem. Just restart the game and see if that does it, it worked for me. Think I tried shooting while reloading and that caused it.

I loaded shells from my direct inventory. Tried restarting the game, it didn't worked. I hope it's just a beta issue.

Unpack the shells if in a box.

Put shells into your main inventory (not in a bag) and then - while having the shotgun in your primary slot - reload by pressing (and maybe holding; depends on the reloading difficulty, I think?) R.

It works on my end.

In a box means in a box. If you have 100 nails, you can click on them to put them in a box.  I think you need 30 9mm and 24 shotgun shells to be able to make a box of them.  The box is much easier to carry than all those loose nails, bullets, or shells.

 

To unpack a box you need to click on it to get the option to do so.

Shooting while reloading is what causes this. Always let shotguns and pistols reload completely before performing another action
