sagata
Got a quick question on when making the landscape in Paint.net. The tutorial doesnt mention this but, what sizes should the roads be when making the base land scape? The Brush size, or even number of pixels with the grid turned on would be awesome. Second question is, how do roads currently work over water?I'm assuming you just draw whatever terrain over the water to make it work, but I'd like to check first. Cheers. Jela331
The road is 6 pixels wide on the landscape.
BeastlyBean
The road is 6 pixels wide on the landscape.Thats like 3 tiles right?
Suomiboi
No that's 6 tiles. 1 pixel=1 tileA 2-way ay road is 6 tiles/pixels and a one-way street or one lane is 3px. The highway in Muldraugh is 14px as it has 2 empty tiles in the middle and 2 lanes on each side.
sagata
Sweet, thanks a bunch. That will translate properly using the pixel grid in Paint.Net right?
Suomiboi
Yes, most likely. I don't use that program but as said 1px = 1 tile and that doesn't depend on any program. Also on the road next to water, it just has a straight border like with any tile next to road.
