some pics of items/closets... are missing

Zoom doesnt work!

PZ Version: build 21

Model and year: Intel Core  Quad Q6600
Processor: 2.4GHz Intel Core i7
GPU: Geforce 8600 GT

 

 

 

 

Hi,

 

some pics of items/closets are missing! I only changed my motherboraddriver and java runtimesettings. After deleting runtimesettings the problem still exist.

 

Can anyone help? I cant upload a pic here (error! why?), so i uploaded it here:

Only reason I could think this would happen is if some files were missing -- did you install any mods or alter  the %ProgamFiles(x86)%\Steam\SteamApps\Common\ProjectZomboid directory?

If not, I'd try verifying your files, assuming you're on Steam. This can be done by right clicking Project Zomboid in the Library then selecting properites. Go to the Local Files tab and click Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

If you've installed it elsewhere, I'd suggest reinstalling the game from there.

I never installed mods! I also verified my files and reinstall the game but the problem still exits!

Does this happen if you make a new world and character, as well?

Have you ensured your graphics drivers are up to date by downloading them from Nvidia? Your issue looks pretty weird and I can't think of much else than some very specific graphics card issue getting triggered. Have you tried to play in compatibility mode?

I updated my graphicdriver this monday but i got this problem today. I always play in compatibility mode.

Have you updated to the most recent version of the game?

Did you happen to turn down your brightness at some  point in the nVida control panel?

I changed nothing in the control panel and i updated to version 23!

Make sure, in the Options panel, that lighting is set  to high.

You can also try disabling shaders and zoom.

Hardware/OS: Athlon 64 X2 6000+, 2Gb RAM, Geforce 8600 GTS / Window 7 32, latest nvidia drivers(installed today)

Missing icons for items, clothing and containers. By the cRiz screen I think that the same icons missed in my game. Zomboid installed in "F:\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid".

It'd be interesting if this just turns out to be a pathfinding problem with putting the game on other drives than C:\.

I've reinstalled game to C:\ and no results at all. Just to note that main steam directory for me is F:\.

Two people with the same problem?    Both missing Can Opener, but both have Canned Soup.  Texture not loading, or texture not rendering?  If you put those items on the floor do you see their textures in the world?

I can see them on floor but still no icons. And maybe some part of console log would help:

No texture for baseball bat, either. O.o

But those errors in your console are normal, unfortunately.

So are there any suggestion for solving this problem? Me and cRiz have the same videocard series, maybe that's the key of problem? This GPU works fine with all other games that supports (or even not supports) it.

Additional info: It seems that I'm missing all icons from ninventory0.png that can be found after unpacking ProjectZomboid\media\texturepacks\UI.pack.

Well that's interesting.  But the textures do show properly when the item is dropped on the floor, so we know they are being loaded ok.

Being unable to reproduce it, it's sort of hard to solve right at the moment. =/

I don't think it's related to the Geforce 8600 either, as other people have had success with it. Maybe it's a specific version of the driver, but that probably won't be a help if it's also the most recent causing it.

maybe it helps: i got the problem AFTER beta (not MP, before), in beta i see all pics, also before! but i dont remember the version!

Have you tried the new IWBMS build listed in the PZ Updates section,cRiz?
