Status bar and 'key for car' placement

I can't see most of the progress bar when filling a vehicle's gasoline tank if I have the key or is hotwired, because the icon that displays this (key icon) is displayed in the same spot as progress bars above the player's head.

You mean while you're fueling up?

Theoretically, the car shouldn't be running when it fills up, and the fuel gauge only works with the car's power on.

I mean when you stand next to a car you have already hotwired or have a key to, an key icon shows above the characters head, which is displayed over the top of the progress meter when fueling up(the same spot above your head). Some cars take a while, but you can't really see you progress until the last third or quarter of the tank. 

 

Although what you say is true, if live in the middle of Canada in the praries(central Canada, basically) and you're fueling up your car, you generally leave it running, as it is too cold to restart the engine. Anyone parking their cars also need to plug em in just to keep the internals warm enough to start.

 

But yeah, normally you wouldn't want to do that. And fortunately, I don't live there. Or even have a car for that matter, so I guess that statement is moot, regardless.

This is an illustration of the problem; it does make it hard to know what your character is doing or gauge the speed of progress.
