Cannot launch the game

I was playing the iwbums build a few months ago and with the latest release I decided to start playing again but now any timeI try to launch the game whether it be through steam or the bat file it just gets stuck on a black screen that if I try to interact with it freezes and says "not responding" 

 

I have verified my files and it fixed a few but still cannot launch the game.

There seem to be some file missing errors, can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to "C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid" and delete everything there except the "Saves" folder

Then just install the game again and see if that helps.

Thanks, that seems to have fixed it, don't know how I would've lost files but oh well, the game works now
