A Performance Question (41.56)

Zedendo

Question

Hello, I have a question about multithreading. As you can see in the image, if this feature is enabled, the game still continues to use one stream at 100%, is it supposed to be?

Specs:

i5-8600k (4.6GHz)

rx 6600xt

16gb ram (3200)

Ubuntu 20.04.03 LTS (Have better fps then windows 11,  28fps vs 45fps on 250% zoom)

no mods - same results.

Yes this is normal, because not everything can be multithreaded and can only run on a single thread, which is why one will always be more used than the others.

Thanks for the answer, another question, can I count on more fps at a zoom of 250% when I update the processor, let's say up to 12700k?)

Hard to say, it is unlikely that would be the case since you are playing on a 1440p resolution, now you are basically scaling that up to 250% and the game will definitely drop a lot of frames and struggle playing on maximum zoom at that resolution, since its not meant to be played on such massive zoom for extended periods. Usually 200% zoom should run fine though.

I just thought that since the game uses one core at 100%, then a processor with better performance in a single thread will give better results
