Jumpscare Sound A+

Title. That's all. I just saw some nay-saying for the new jumpscare sound and had to publicly state my love for it.

That and the new zombie sounds... unless they're not new and I just haven't played in a year 😅

I agree, the jump scare noise with the violin is amazing and so much better than the old one, some of the new sounds are a bit sketch but this one is perfection.

I suspect most of the naysayers regarding this topic are probably more upset about volume balance than the noise itself. A whole week off, but never managed to get into the new build yet, but I'm understood the individual sound volume controls have been disabled with the new noisworks update.

I'd just like to say that I'm very impressed with the new zombie voices. I say voices because I've actually heard them cry out (in the proper gender) as they go down. Not just the usual grunting snarling sounds but I'm hearing them making sounds I've never heard before. Kind of human like? And not only the zombies, my Survivor is making sounds in combat I've not heard before either. Has anyone noticed this or am I imagining it...

 

Oh...and I'm now hearing a horse neighing in the background. Not like the meta sounds of screaming, gun firing, etc. but, I guess it's part of the new ambiance sounds? It's a pleasant sound but, it makes me think also of the poor horse that goes down in The Walking Dead. I always hated that part. I think I'm hearing it mainly when I'm near forest.
