(A rage event is an optional feature when making sandbox gamemodes, or in some cases can happen on normal gamemodes depending on if this takes off.)

Basics - A rage event happens every few days depending on when you set it to happen or when a corresponding gamemode has it set to happen. During this event zombies eyes will glow a piercing white making them stick out in unlooked areas. The upside for you is that you know they are coming, and you know where they are at all times. Zombies will become aware of you no matter how hard you try to hide. They remain at their set speeds but combating them is tougher as they are more resilient to blows and will stand back up quicker. They also deal more damage to doors/fortifications. Hordes of them will hunt you down until it becomes morning. If you have zombies set to be more aware at night this overlaps that essentially nullifying its effect and replacing it with its own until the event ends.

Features:

- zombies are always in your sightlines even if its pitch black.

- a fog clouds the ground making it near impossible to see very far.

- SpooOOooOOky music to get the blood pumping

- zombies have a chance at reanimating again after you kill them.

- zombies have glowing white eyes.

- if you dont know whats going your character will say one of three messages. "They are enraged...", "A hoard approaches...", "The night is hungry..."

hope you like the idea of this as much as i do. thanks again for reading and hopefully id like to hear some feedback on what you think. thanks! ~ Toony

Imo this doesn't fit project zomboid gameplay. There would have to be an objective to hold/defend in order to make this reasonable. Otherwise you're just losing resources for contesting anything this event has to offer. Also, keep in mind that PZ development always focuses on subtle, realistic, immersive additions and tweaks so developers taking time for creating and bugixing through versions such a thing is not likely. This a job for the modding community.

Seeing where zombies are when a horde is approaching means almost nothing because usually you can predict where they are just from common sense and sound cues. Zombies get extremely buffed and I see no reason at all to fight them during such time. They will easily shred the base and probably they will shred you if you choose to fight them. So why bother? Just hop in a car and drive away - just like when a helicopter event occurs.

Edit: I understand what an experience you want to create. The problem is it's just not gonna work that way with what we have in the game. :(
