Starting menu doesn't appear

hello, so basically the problem is as mentioned in the title - starting menu doesn't appear. i launch the game, music goes fine, bg picture is fine, but there is no tabs to click neither singleplayer nor exit, absolutely no tabs. i've tried everything: uninstalling the game, deleting "zomboid" folder in "user" folder, changing resolution, but everything has gone wrong. i need a bit of a help, please

Go to %UserProfile%\zomboid\ and delete the mods folder. Assuming this happened because you went from build 41 to build 40, it's just that the newer file isn't compatible with the old game. If this is not the case, do you see the credits scrolling on the top-right of the screen?
