There was a metal wall frame in version 40.43. So this is a change to version 41? Can't find it documented?

i think you need to read metalwork magazines to unlock it.

You're right, I was wrong. there is indeed one. I just never used it.

No. It's a bug . In the. 40.43 you could build metal wall frame  at level 3. So the devs should look in to it?

Yes, as Toshis said above, you need to read Metalworking magazine 1 to get the recipe. After that Metal Wall Frame will appear in the menu.

 

Another way is to chose a Metalworker profession at the start.
