Blake81 Posted November 28, 2020 Share Posted November 28, 2020 First of all, I gotta say I'm really liking those; they're cool looking enough to warrant wearing, and zed cops with them spawn VERY often, so they're not that rare. Still, do they have any function or advantage to the player other than providing a great addition to a Leon S Kennedy (RE2 outfit) cosplay? Do they stop bullets or make any difference when shooting a zed wearing them (like the SWAT zeds in L4D2)? I tried shooting a few, and since my aim is on "Blind Stormtrooper with Parkinson's" levels, I couldn't quite tell if it did any difference. Beyond that, it'd also be great if they came with some tiny amount of storage, or a place to hook a radio to. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
colid_cnake Posted November 28, 2020 Share Posted November 28, 2020 Not without mods, I don't think- but considering multiplayer isn't ready for the beta there's really no way to test if they stop bullets when worn on the player. As for zombies, I'm pretty confident it doesn't make them any tankier, though that might be a neat addition like helmets stopping a few weapon swings/stomps. fcolley3 Posted December 3, 2020 Share Posted December 3, 2020 The protection tab shows that they offer 100% protection on upper and lower torso against scratches and lacerations but, first time I wore it, I got scratched through the vest and it left a hole.
