Game map was made from real world map and some developer start add building that is not exist in real world, why? What for?

Will you continue add building and cities, like Riverside where we have chemical plant instead of city? So game map will become sandbox instead of real world map copy.

It will harm game map, read this https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Knox_Country

So we should delete this post then and start making sandbox map, no more Knox Country etc...

Based on =/= A full on copy.

I don't see how a single building can hurt a whole map. If you believe the map should be a 100% accurate recreation of the real world towns I think you need to reconsider the things that you value in games. You don't even live there, and I'm certain you didn't even know those towns existed before you played the game, so there's no way a building can ruin your immersion or whatever.

Well it's not single building, they already add more.

I don't need to live there, and I don't made this map just delete this https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Knox_Country and delete all mentioning about Knox Country. You type to me like I'm made this map and trying to hold it at all cost... pff

Why would they rewrite the lore of the game if everything in this article (written by the players, by the way) is true? The map is based off of the area in Northern Kentucky and it shares a lot of similarities in general landscape and town location.

Also Knox Country is not even the real name for the area the game takes place in.

The "Knox Country" is not something that exist in in real life by the way, it was made for the game purposes and it is references in the lore (currently the radio). The area we had during early alphas was dubbed Knox County, but the Louisville and surrounding cities we already have in game are not even a part of it.

I get your point, but there's no reason to panic; you won't be able to recreate an area 1:1 anyway with the tools zomboid have (map scale is just 1 tyle and there's not enough tile types plus there's no easy way to see all buildings that existed 20+ years ago)  and no game really attempted it in the first place (there'd be privacy issues when you'd have to model each and every house for example) and it's fine, we don't even know if these buildings stay, but I really like them, especially the one you mentioned. :)
