Stuck in Aim mode

I was giving guns a go and went out with my trusty shot gun to do some work. Everything was going as expected until I ran out of ammo. My character became stuck in the half crouch position, as if I were holding down the right mouse button to aim, and would only move at a slow crawl. I tried switching weapons, moving in/out of the full crouch position but nothing worked. The zombies easily caught me and delivered a savage beat down.

I was in the same situation, luck restart the game before they got me. Was in situation, when I ran out of ammo and zombie was in point blank.

There is still the same problem after two years, Stuck in Aim mode with spears too when spearing through high fence. DEVS hello?

Try hitting spacebar. Noticed in multiplayer, when character gets stuck and cant do certain actions, hitting spacebar (making that push action) somewhy refreshes it. Or when character gets stuck in certain animation hitting spacebar helps.

Have you ever reported this issue? How can we fix it if we're not aware there is a problem?

That is to say we are still unable to reproduce the original issue. Thank you for the video though - it'll help! Are you using any mods?

The only time I've ever experienced this is when I clicked outside the game's window when doing something or I pressed a system macro on my keyboard by mistake.

I have started having the exact same problem, starting about a week ago when I loaded back into the game after a while of not playing. 

The whole game is stuck in combat mode indefinitely and all the drop bars are highlighted white.

 

I have tried taking mods off, playing single-player, uninstalling, checking my game file logs, and more.

I don't even have a problem with it happening every 30-40 mins but the fact that the server re-rolls like 2 hours (in-game time) is super annoying.

 

I have read all the threads and comments about this problem and no one has any actual solutions to this, or at least doesn't mention them. 

Maybe in 2024 there are some ways to work around this??

Please help if you have anything.
