Context menu while fighting

Maybe because of my bad mouse, but this is NOT important. IMHO there are should not be any context menus regarding constructions, only menus like "open window" etc. Currently I can fight that horde of zombies and loose my guy just because I have a carpentry context menu popped up. Solution: if rmb is *pressed* (meaning exactly that, not just clicked), any context menus should be cleared and fight mode engaged. This will fix situation for all "double click" mouses also (some players have broken mouses, you know).

How to reproduce: click rmb somewhere, context menu shown. Then move you cursor on any menu title and start pressing rmb, meaning keep it pressed. No combat mode engaged
Expected result: when you start press your rmb, no matter where your mouse pointer is, combat mode should be engaged and any context menus should be closed

You say, this is not important? Please buy a new keyboard for me ;)

Maybe not 100% on point, but I think (hope!) that the building system is up for a revamp at one point – I actually like having things under right mouse button as opposed to a move furniture button that I find kinda hard to use quickly, but I pointed up that currently some things you can pick up with right click (bodies, generators, traps) and furniture (a dedicated icon fot it). You can currently also pick sheets with right click or through the furniture moving, so I hope they will get unified at one point!

Yeah, you made your point, I'm completely agree about "everything under rmb" - this would be really convenient :) With this stuff or without, topic is still an issue, btw. So yeah, probably best solution is really just go into fight mode if you press rmb (!no matter what you do at this point and where your pointer is!), and always provide full rmb functionality also - both of this are possible together, I believe. This would be really cool 🤘

Anytime it's come up, it's been the mouse. Either a failing one or one of those cheap button-heavy "gaming" mice.  The solution is buying a really cheap mouse to replace it, disabling whatever weird software it has, or setting a lower DPI setting if available for the mouse.

It's unlikely the context menu will be removed any time soon.

Context menu should NOT be removed, sure thing :) I'm talking about involving battle when I need it. And it is obvious that I need a battle when I KEEP my rmb pressed. Currently I don't know any other case when I would keep my rmb pressed - in all other cases I just quickly *click*

Re "fix or not fix". Re "do I care about someone's broken mouses". Simple example. I have nearby such asphalt path (see pic, red part). This is not a joke, the shape is really stupid. Anyway, people of course go just directly through the lawn (see orange part on pic). And we have here a holywar about "is this a designer's responsibility to lay correct path shapes?". Two answers:
1. No. This is completely responsibility of people. Every man can choose correct path and should follow the rules
2. Designer KNEW that people WILL choose orange path and DESPITE THIS he choose red shape

Re "broken mouse". I have googled, double click is a common problem, many people have such from time to time. OS Windows even have a setting for a double click duration, though I can't say for sure for what reasons it has been created.

If solution "if rmb is hold pressed, engage battle" is a relatively quick to implement, it would be great to implement. If this is not quick for some reasons, then, of course, there are a lot of much more important stuff, like multiplayer. And in case if it is relatively simple to implement, but designer decide that people should keep their mouses healthy, then we have "path designer" situation: designer KNOW that this an issue for people, KNOW that people will anyway play with broken mouses and keyboards will be smashed from time to time, but still designed strange pattern. People are not squares, people are not triangles, people are different, this is why devs implemented different modes, like survival, builder etc, sandbox and even mods system. And of course people have broken mouses with double click, this is much more common issue than you think ;)

Changing it Is not simple.

Any old 2 button mouse will work.

Should note: one person with this didn’t have a broken mouse. They instead rolled their finger from rmb to lmb, inadvertently right clicking. If you’re not lifting off your finger, this could be the problem.

Than, obviously, please don't implement this at this point :) New 41 update is amazing and, I believe, pretty hard to make all things work together. So I believe there are many many much more important stuff in the near future

Re mouse - yes, it actually double click. Living in Ukraine, I can't just "by new *cheap* mouse", but I have exchanged it with my gf - she does not play video games and does not care if her mouse work well. And yes, now I don't see any issues
