Issues with multiplayer gameplay

I'm hoping B41 MP will fix some gameplay issues as well, not just the technical stuff.

 

 

Here's what's always been bothering me about MP:

 

1) Starting areas are often "ghost towns" on servers that have been running for a while. Barely any loot, barely any zombies, all buildings destroyed. Pretty boring.

Solution: The GoodOldDayZ server hard-resets certain areas on every server restart. Gameplay is MUCH better with a system similar to that, imo.

 

2) Floating bases & "skywalks".

Solution: Gravity, i guess. Blindcoder made a mod for it, but it's outdated & had issues afaik.

 

3) No sleeping system that works for larger numbers of players. Not requiring any sleep makes the game too easy, imo.

 

4) No proper PvP system. All things PvP are completely unrestricted with no punishment for griefing - or simply disabled. There's no balanced middleground.

Players made some pretty good suggestions in the past:

- Logging off at a bed in a safe area should count as sleeping.

- Reduce required sleeping time to 2-3h/day. Taking a 10min break every 2 hours sounds fine.

- Buff coffee & add Amphetamines for players who want to play several hours without taking a break.
