Hi, I am a little confused about versions now.   So if I want to use the build before this one do I just opt out of beta?   Which version is steam regular versus beta right now?

Congratulations on STEAM release and wish you much success!
I'm going to buy on the second PC the game again.

 

Because the 14 euros is not enough for so many hours of fun gameplay

Congratulation on the new build! It is looking so F****** awesome! A little laggy than the desura build i usually played(which was not laggy at all) and the music is so laggy now, but that's probably my machine responding to the new build. anyways id just like to thanks The Indie Stone for making this awesome game and keep up with the work because i know you're all working hard on this, it is only getting better and better.

 

pretty unique game, hope it stays like this for sure it will!

Yea my save did the same thing.  Big black square that I couldn't walk into at lumberyard.  I walked towards warehouse and I believe the textures stopped streaming or something cause I was trapped in about a 30x30 box with nothing but black around me I couldn't walk into.

mayor hickups now for me, tried lowering graphics to minimum but well, every 5-10 secs it drops to around 4 or 5 fps, music slows down then too and after 20-30 minutes game freezes and drops, rolls back my safe to when i slept last time :F hope over the WE there will be another update

Walking seems to sound like running but quieter. And I picked up a butter knife from a group of butter knifes and they all became big. But when I dropped the butter knife they went back to their original size.

Guys, I've already died once (only took me 1 day and 23 hours), but I'm absolutely loving this build.  I had a small glitch where zooming out caused an area to be blacked out, but it only happened once.

 

Indie Stone, I hope you get millions upon millions of dollars for PZ and future projects <3.

stupid crash!! well i was through my 3rd day of survival at west point. It was around 16:20 in the afternoon some undead scum broke into my safehouse for the night, although I managed to kill it, naive me, thought it would be a smart idea to loot the poor man's dead body... major crash... AWWW BOB SAGET!!

after restarting the game it loaded the previous save!!...btw everytime a start a a saved game my char is badly injured, is that alright???

I'm on build 17 (0011), running windows 64-bit and a 64-bit version of java.

 

The crashes I've been experiencing have all had the same error reports as reported above. This issue is new as of build 17 (0008).

 

Due to some very lax testing, I theorize that zooming very far out very quickly and panning the edges of the screen may have influence in causing the error. It seems like it happens most when I do this often, though I could be completely wrong as I don't exactly track all of my movements.

 

It also seems more common in urban areas as opposed to the more rural sections of the map.

 

Also also, compatibility mode seems to lengthen the amount of time between crashes, but not completely remove them.

 

My PC specs are as follows:

 

Intel® Core™ i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50 GHz 3.50 GHz

Radeon HD 6970 2GB (Working on a upgrade for this bottleneck D:)

16.0 GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333 Hz

Windows 7 64-bit

Change list :

  • A tons of change in the loot spawn:
    • Balanced loots in West Point.
    • Fixed loots on specific rooms (no more bacon in pharmacy, etc.).
    • Added more specific loots in container (wallet in some locker...).
    • Added more specific loots in rooms (toolstore, mechanic...)

-shelfs in the police station in west point still spawns clothing & stuff, lockers spawn pens & stuff

-crates & shelfs in the store sw of the police station all spawn kitchen loot

 

- it think it should be a driving school of some sorts, its a building north of west point police station, all the containers in the building are not flagged as containers, cant click on them (this is new in the 11 build, worked fine in 10), can post screenshots if needed

-if you log out in a second floor, after reloading save you are in the room below & hurt :(

Kudos for the Release.

 

Have black screen syndrome. GUI and Music are fine. But nothing to see here.

 

In compability mode it works but choppy and graphics keeps glitching.

Java runs out of memory, and lags or crashes.  Generally right when you have an issue time-wise.

There's the post where I got help.  We changed the ProjectZomboid.bat file (and I now run the game from the batch file not from Steam) which allows me more memory for Java to run the game.  I tend to clear 1,300Mb (1.3 gig) of memory as a high water mark; so bumping the memory up from 758 and 1024 to 2048 should keep it clear regardless and not run out of memory.

 

Might be worth a try if those crashes give you too much grief. :)

if i follow your steps, after the pause command (which forces me to push any button) the command window closes without anything happens. anyone an idea how to fix that? i guess some paths are wrong for me since i have a german windows (dunno if this is truely the reason), the amound of text and what its exactly calling where is a bit beyond my skills :<

Yeah, it should run the game before the pause command fires (and you'd see the pause after you exit; and close it then) ... so there's something different here or something going wrong.

 

First, did you get anything in the error file specified?  That might be the easiest way to sort out what happened.

 

If not that; does the console give any "Cannot find" style errors before the pause? 

Maybe your Java isn't where it expects Java to be or something...

 

If it's not picking up I'm wondering if you're not finding the call for:

"%ProgramFiles%\Java\jre7\bin\java"

 

EDIT: And now I think... are you 32 or 64 bit? 

That could be it as well (I think the batch file wants/expects 64 bit Java but I'm nowhere near positive on that statement).

too lagy for me waited about 5mins for the game to start up and  then the game proceeded to be unstable with lots of crashes, i know you guys work almost round the clock and i know you guys will get this game to a bugless stable version ill just wait until then

 

intel graphics card, 4 gig ram, windows 7,asus laptop
