Controller when in combat mode changes to Q-Bert mode

Lemme explain. When I'm moving normally, sneaking, running and even looking around the X and Y axis are fine, when I press UP I go UP, etc etc. When I'm moving while in combat mode (right analog stick), my movement suddenly becomes like in Q-bert on the left analog stick, where UP is NE, RIGHT is NW, down is SW and LEFT is SE. I have checked the options and found nothing. I have restarted my game a few times and nothing.

Is there a way to fix this in any way? Other movement is all good, I just don't get why in combat mode it does this.

we controller guys will have to give them a bit of time to get other things handled. i know, combat sucks right now.

and sprinting does not exist.

 

have  faith, they'll get it worked out. just a whole lot of other things to fix as well.
