MrTrololo
with proper knowledge, skills and materials and items character would be able to create powerful anti-horde flamethrower Materials: -1x Large propane tank(probably air tank would be proper, but not in game) -1x blowtorch -1x lighter (to ignite launched liquids and gas) -Pipes -electrical parts(mechanical parts are not implemented(should be)) -Large travelling bag -additional tank to hold flammable liquid 2x rubber hose tank for liquid would be refillable by whiskey and regular fuel in jerrycans, but depleted propane tank must be replaced by non-depleted one would be powerful weapon, but great power would come at great costs: -would consume propane gas and fuel pretty quickly -it will occupy character's back and both hands otherwise would be unusable,so it wouldn't be useful during loot runs(well unless you playing in multi and you frying zeds and your companion is collecting items in the same time) -the same threats posed by throwing molotov(fire spread and ignited zombies can transfer fire on something that they shouldn't) -risk of explosion in PvP,when player with flamethrower get hit with any gun(especially from back),that would cause instant death of wielder when it occurs
ZombieHunter
While a Flame thrower would be pretty devastating to a human, I doubt it would have any real affect on a zombie. Moltovs right now take almost 30s to kill a zombie even though it can take out a horde through spreading. It is actually much easier just to carry multiple moltovs instead of a flame thrower It would pretty much have same effect with drastically less carry weight involved.
