- What does balanced loot drop really mean? Does it apply to every game mode?

(In sandbox it's already an option - rare, abundant and so on...)

Do you need to start a new game for the update to be effective? I'm running a Sandbox

game and have played for 10 hours approx. I haven't visited the police station yet, but

when I do - will it have more guns (from this update) or have the loot in my game already

spawned? Hmm... yeah, I hope you understand the question.

Also, the update notes mention "Fire saving fixed". What does that mean?

/ Thanks for the update.

Balanced loot just means that they tinkered with the numbers to make more or less loot spawn in Survival and in the unchanged Sandbox modes. They do this with almost every patch, just trying to find a good amount of loot where it's not too much or too little. You can always change it independently in Sandbox.

Fire saving fixed should mean that now when you run to a new chunk (and hopefully when you quit the game and reload it) fires will still be burning correctly; they weren't before.

You guys really outdone yourselves this time.

So far no problems, the FPS problem is gone it seems, they dont drop below 20 FPS now and it stays at 25 FPS, that is incredible if you compare it to be playing at 10 FPS.

Then the fire is working! Finally begin able to burn all the houses with zombies insde is possible

This most be one of the most stable builds you guys had made

my (0007?) save still fails to load due to the same error in (0008). Results in a black screen and the menu doesn't show up if i press escape. Have to alt+f4 to exit.

Since the introduction of OpenGL, I have very small FPS. Before that it was 30-40 FPS stable

You still didn't tell us your settings nor your setup.

Off to PC World to get an i3 laptop ;D Don't ever say we don't love you guys and gals. :P

You may want to know that i3-s in laptops aren't comparable with the desktop ones. Roughly, the laptop equivalents of desktop Core i3-s are the "mobile" i5s. Also a laptop i3 is roughly comparable with a desktop pentium-series cpu.

To give the general idea (the processors aren't directly equivalent due to differences in cache and turbo-presence as well as thermals but in terms of cores and hyperthreading you'll see what I mean):

Intel specs page for the desktop Core i3 4330:

Intel specs page for the laptop Core i5 4330M:

i've already sent it in. guess i should have replied in the PM?

also the I've also gotten a huge fps drop. It's more consistent now, though, rather than coming in bursts of relatively higher fps followed by slight freezing.

edit: switching to multicored rendering greatly improved performance (still slower than (0007), though).

Need empirical data -- like what "low FPS" means. Use FRAPS if you need a program.

Also need things like system specs.

Open the bat in notepad, remove -server

Let's try it this way, to get your error log, Golombo:

Copy and paste this into a Command Prompt on Windows:

cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid"
ProjectZomboid64.exe 2>error.txt
For safemode:

cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid"
ProjectZomboid64.exe "-safemode" 2>error.txt
For specifically 32-bit systems, it's:
cd "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid"
ProjectZomboid32.exe 2>error.txt
You'll find the errors dropped into your Steam\SteamApps\Commmon\ProjectZomboid directory with a modified date of Today, called error.txt.

As has been said all over the thread, reduce your resolution to 1024, lighting quality to lowest, and it'll play like a dream. :)
