Going in and out to make it work

So I've recently tried playing project zomboid again after not playing for a few months, however when I loaded it up I heard the music but it still said it was loading, so alt-tabbing out of it and back into it, the menu screen was there. Same throughout clicking any button or doing anything within the game. For some reason I would have to preform the action, go out of the game, then back in to see the result. Even loading in a random character on a server I heard my footsteps, went out and back in, then saw my character move. Thanks in advance.

i played on Friday night and didnt have any issues. are you running any mods? if so try disabling them.

I have the same issue sometimes but I'm pretty much sure it's because of my PC.

I dont have any mods at all, even double checked in my workshop.
