nasKo
Not much different from creating an online server. You could just create one via the Host menu in-game and then should be able to invite your friend via Steam. Haven't reworked this guide in ages, but I'm pretty sure it's still accurate; also covers not being online at all: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=514493377
EnigmaGrey
This'll be a bit confusing, so if inviting and hosting in-game works for you, just ignore the following. If you do a dedicated server (with Steam) as per the guide; You'll need to include both the LAN IP and the Internet IP to connect. For the host that's just 127.0.0.1 + the result of googling "ip". Anyone that wants to join on the same network will then need to use whatever the LAN address of the computer is, e.g. 198.0.0.2 + the public IP. There are two IP fields on the Join screen for this reason. It's just the way Steam handles connections. If you don't use Steam, you can just use the LAN ip.
