DoritoS
It can be inconvenient to navigate by landmark, especially in cities with larger residential areas like West point. TheWraithPlayer
It would be pretty neat if they did the actual street names given that the map is partially based off of real world, but for the fake towns or even just in general I think numbered streets would cut it. OffitMan
To be fair, though it'd be really cool if they were, the street signs themselves don't need to be legible. A small-ish box with the street name could appear when you hover your mouse over the sign. trombonaught
Kaleidozombie
Or you could inspect the sign like you do generators or barbecues and a window with the info appears. Magic Mark
DoritoS
That sounds like more work to code but could be wrong. I think if you had the signs themselves be readable it would be a bit more pleasing to the eyes but thats just me
Magic Mark
It would actually be more work to make textures for every single street. The problem here is that none of the streets have names and a lot of landmarks are also largely unnamed. Not only would the developers have to name each street, they would have to create individual textures for each street sign, which makes this a very tall order. Kaleidozombie's inspection idea is actually a pretty safe compromise for that issue because it doesn't require new textures and allows the developers to adapt this to any new streets they add. It also would make it easier for modders to adapt it to their maps.
