If the player wanted to avoid detection in regards to smell, would it be better to wear dirty/bloody clothes and have rotten food on you, or would it be better to have freshly cleaned clothes and no smelling items on you? or basically, is it better to smell like a zombie or better to smell clean? Do (or will) the weather mechanics of the game effect smelling detection? Can the zombies smell blood or injuries? Can they smell corpses? Can they smell each other? Icy Motto Posted August 28, 2018 Share Posted August 28, 2018 From what I know and experienced, zeds can smell fresh blood. So if you're bleeding and you don't patch that wound up fast enough, those zeds can smell that from different distances depending on their behavior preset/difficulty.
