My game has decided not to work.

Hello, I was an avid player of Project Zomboid, until something very peculiar happened. I went to try and boot up the game, when all of a sudden, the game crashed. I tried many more times to see if any attempt would work. I tried all the things steam technical support had to offer, and not a single time did it work. I then tried the indie stone technical support, but they were no help at all. I was hoping that someone would know the solution to this problem, or at least point me in the right direction.

Have you tried the solutions as disabling the steam overlay or running the game with the ProjectZomboid32.bat file in your game folder?
 

Open the Steam client and navigate to the Steam > Settings/Preferences > In-game tab. Uncheck the box next to Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game.

You should also try reinstalling the game if it happened suddenly.

If you already tried all this / none of this worked. Please upload your console file and tell us your computer specifications, mainly your graphics card.

Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid

Sometimes after I've closed the game and try to launch it later the CMD prompt launcher pops up and closes again instantly and can't start the game. Is this what happens to you? if so restart your computer and it'll be all good
