Map problem

Hello,

I think there is a bug with my map. All map I open display nothing, just a white blank page of nothing. Hope you can help because right now I'm drawing a map by myself with paper and pencil, I know that makes the game more realstic but it's hard. I'm new in the game and I don't know many about it so sorry if it seems to be a stupid question for you.

I am having the same problem, i play on windows, version 38.28.

I've tried everithing but i still do not show anything on the map, i tought it was just me since i had not seen anyone else with this problem until now.

I thought I was the only one with this problem, what is your graphic card?

It's a mobile intel(R) 965 express chipset family, my notebook is pretty old.

But some previous versions of the game the map would normally open here, wich i can not understand.

Could certainly be an issue with the graphics card, assuming you both have similar specs. The texture size could be too large for the GMA to show it, but that'd be unusual. For static imagines like jpegs, it's usually OK.

I thought it might be my graphics card at first, but in some previous versions of the game the map worked normally, maybe some recent game update needs a better graphics card and so this problem is happening.

Can confirm it's been awhile since I've tried to open the map and it won't work for me either. Intel 965 Mobile Express.

Alright. What OS are you on? Just curious if it's going to be that Mac/Linux might not have the textures compared to Windows.

I'm on windows 7 SP1 64bits, but for some reason the projectzomboid64.exe doesn't run so I play with projectzomboid32.exe

I don't know if maps were washed with some sort of heavy rain or something.

Hm. Looks like the textures are there.

 

Try this:

 

Open the Steam client

Find Project Zomboid on the Games list

Right click it and go into Properties

On the Local Games tab, press the Verify button . . . 

If it finds any missing files, it'll download them for you.

I'll try this, and if it doesn't work, may a full reinstall put an end to that problem? But I don't wanna lose my save games.

C:\Users\(your username)\Zomboid\Saves

 

You can back up that folder ^^ or parts of it if you know which you want. This way you can save your saved game files.

The problem is still unresolved, last night I reinstalled everything, updated windows, reinstalling microsoft redistributable packages, updating to .net4.7. But the maps remains broken. Do you think it's because of my graphic card? Because my laptop is a bit old. It has only has those intel chipset things instead of graphic card to run the game, yes it's lagging but playable, I really like this game and I don't have much cash now to invest into a new laptop. Thanks for your help.
