Map Size

Technically, there is no limit to the available map size. You could in theory just add to the map into blank areas, if you wanted to put in the work to do it.

However, 50-100 player servers don't really exist in this game right now. The best servers seem to net about 20-30 players during max population times. However, if there were 100 player servers out there, map packs like the all in one pack you can find on the workshop adds something like 20 towns or something like that into the empty areas between vanilla map towns. That alone would be more than enough for a high pop server like that. We actually use that pack on our RP server but only use a very small section of it. We are an RP server though so we can easily get away with only using a small section.

The vanilla map alone provides more than enough space for the larger servers though.

The final map will be absolutely huge, even compared to how big it is now :)

Here's a picture from the "March To 1.0" Mondoid ( https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2014/06/march-to-1-0/ ) of what was being planned and worked on at the time.

"Louisville, or at least the part on the Kentucky side of the river, Brandenburg, and of course Fort Knox will all be on the agenda"

Riverside is already taking up a bit of that space to the west so Brandenburg will expand the size beyond this picture that way and the area to the north east is already confirmed to be huge (as you can see in the second picture I link below) so it'll be bigger in that direction too. Also, who knows how big the Fort Knox area to the south will end up being :)

Then here's a picture from the "H1PZ2" Mondoid ( https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2015/01/h1pz2/ ) from a few years back of my most anticipated map expansion to come. The outskirts of Louisville, known as Orell is real life. This picture really shows you the massive scale planned for the map. It alone will just about double the size of the map we have now. Not to mention this doesn't even include the southern part of Louisville that been confirmed by the devs as being part of the 1.0 plan in the March To 1.0 Mondoid.
