Das Kaffinator
I started a multiplayer map from inside the game (steam version). My son and I played for a while then stopped for the night. When we went back to play again everything we had changed/done on the map was gone (it seems to be reset to start). Our characters are still the same (skills gained and inventory). Any idea what I've done wrong? Thank you. Legoland99
FinestHops
Are you using the same save file? In other words... the same character?
Das Kaffinator
Yes. Our characters have all their inventory, all skill improvements, and are in the same locations they were when we last played. However the world has reset. All the changes we made are gone. Is there something I should be doing to save the world before shutting down the game? To start up the world I selected host from the main menu. I didn't change any of the server settings, just started the game and created a character and started playing. The next time I selected host again and when I started the world I already had my character but the world was back to the way it was originally. Das Kaffinator
Ok, I figured out that I can save manually by pressing y to bring up the chat bar and typing /save. This saves the world, however I would like the world to save automatically every 5 mins or so. Is there anyway to make that happen? Thanks
EnigmaGrey
Yes. There's a "save every X" option in server settings. Not sure what the name is, offhand.
