Ive gotten a pretty big bug where my huge fort i had with walls boarded windows everything is now overrun with zombies now that i updated to the new version and i got killed. I thankfully backed up my save but is there a way to prevent it from happening? I'm using the steam version and is there a way to just revert to the previous build? This didn't happen upon updating to any of the other builds and my survival time is 3 months.

Would you be willing to upload your backup save somewhere and link it here? Would like to see if it happens again.

Safehouses are messed up. Ours was unclaimed when I signed into that server. So I claimed it back. Then explored for a little and returned to find it unclaimed again.

 

My friend signed in not too long later and just walked into the newly claimed safehouse without being added to the it. He did that with his other two characters as well, not part of the claimed safehouse.

For me my character won't aim properly unless the looting interface is open. If I have it open I can hold LCTRL and aim freely with the mouse and move around with WSAD but if it is closed he will just do the animation where he holds the bat/axe with two hands but moving the mouse cursor around won't make him change direction. Also he can only move in the direction he is looking in e.g looking east means I can only move him with the D key. I tried rebinding the key and restarting the game but it still persists. Also zombies have spawned inside every house including my own. I have looted 99% of the houses in Muldraugh, have zombie respawn disabled in the sandbox settings and most of the houses I checked have been barricaded by me prior to the update. I thought zeds don't spawn in/near player made objects? I have a back up of the file prior to it being converted to the new version but please tell me there is a way to fix this. I worked really hard to clear Muldraugh and make a safe community and now I feel like my efforts are in vain because even my safe haven isn't really safe anymore :?

Some roofs still have issues. Played on New Denver and had issues in regards to both the blue roof and the metal (brown) one. Anyone else ? Also my character when playing in vehicle builds became super sayan and started to run at 30-40 miles per hour .-. I had to delete the save as both the game and my pc were showing signs of passing out. Also, why are cars so damn laggy :c

We're having similar generator issues on my server since we updated to 38.16 (coming from 38.8, the transparency fix is awesome!). It seems like leaving the cell or leaving/joining the game is causing the generator to disconnect from structures/appliances. Turning it off, disconnecting it, then reconnecting and turning it back on makes it work again until the next time we leave the safe-house. We've also had issues with food from the fridges showing as rotten for one player but not another, although it may have something to do with the fridge being seen as powered by some clients and unpowered by others.

I mentioned this in the bug section. Something about log off fucking with Generators. I posted a video showing. Also, logging off removes safehouses, which is a far bigger issue right now.  at least 40 people are logging on, asking if safehouses are fixed, and logging back off when I say no lol.

Have you tried complete unistall/reinstall? Can you send us the log of the new crash?

Yes, so far about 10 Mac  users including myself can get the game to load  now. Two have not.

 

In addition to RJ's request for the log (if available), could you tell me what  vers of OS you're running?

Anyone can give me a clear way to reproduce? Tried many way, always works here...

Claim a safehouse, disconnect inside or outside, reconnect still here, unloading cell etc. Still here....

 

If someone can reproduce easily in local (WARNING: if you have mods, tell me which), tell me, I may have something for you to try, thanks :)

 

For people withnon removal of bodies on server, be sure you use the sandbox option "HoursForCorpseRemoval" and not the server option (in servertest.ini) line, i forgot to remove the server option, it'll be done for next version, but now only the sandbox option is taken is calcul (so SP game can have the HoursForCorpseRemoval too!)

Anyone else who played single player at all come back to having every house alarm reset, going off anytime some one enters it again, for some odd reason and zombies spawning in every single house even safezone houses?

Ill take a video like the one I did for generators stopping. During this video it might also show the error" we have been getting when we relog

 

Server is good old dayz PVE: vanilla, no mods

[Bug Fix]

  • Moved zone saving into meta_zone.bin, this should avoid bufferunderflow and causing map_meta to fail loading:
    • Fix alarms being reset
    • Fix safehouses being reset
    • May fix generator (can't be sure for now)
  • Removed HoursForCorpseRemoval from server options, it's now a sandbox options.
  • Fixed wrong Soap spawning (not able to wash clothings).
  • Fixed flies not being removed in case of bodies were removed by server.
