Fuji
I'm curious as to how the room mechanics work (for sanity's sake.) Working on a set of apartment blocks, smallest one for example has 4 floors, 6 apartments each, with six rooms each... making a total of 144 rooms, all without taking public spaces like hallways and commercial areas into account. Does every single room need to have a separate definition? Or can I schmooze things a bit and consolidate certain spaces?
Axex
You can have some of the same types of rooms have the same room. Like have half the kitchens as kitchen1 and the other half kitchen2. That way you have a diversity of room looks while still keeping your sanity and not having a separate room for each room. Fuji
cardenaglo
Another thing you can do is create the diverse rooms for one floor and then just use those same rooms for the other floors. There's no need to create unique rooms per floor unless you want every single room to be different. That should bring your room count down to 36. From here you can see what type of rooms need to be unique for you. Another thing you can do is use the wall tool to change the coloration of every room and go into tiles to change the floors
Ciber Ninja
and consider that apartments within the same building are generally the same flooring and wall type.
