why does removeFromSquare not work on multiplayer?

on single player the code i have to remove items from the ground works fine using:


getWorldItem():removeFromSquare();

 

But when I test on multiplayer, the items appear to have been removed. But if you move out of the current loaded cell, then move back into it. all the items I removed are still there!

 

any help please!
