Hi! 

 

With build 41.60 coming out I've noticed something that I think would be quite useful to have as a server setting, especially for coop which is the possibility to make non-residential buildings available to claim as safehouses.

 

I think It would be quite awesome to be able to claim, for example, a Gas Station and make it your how with your buddies.

 

PS: I'm having a blast with the multiplayer update, great work you guys!

New animations for vehicles 

 

Hello Indie and hello everyone I came here again to ask you guys to add some animations to vehicles like for example the door opens when the character enters, breaks the glass when the window goes down to have the slow down animation and it just doesn't disappears, has the animation of opening the trunk and leaving it open. These animations are simple but they make a difference both in MP and SP it would be much more detailed and the game much more realistic this is just one more suggestion I give and once again thank you very much.

This might have already been mentioned, but I'm going to give it a go anyways.

Could we get a "food allergy" trait of some sort as a negative? I think it could be pretty fun. 

 

Maybe nut allergy, dairy allergy, or gluten intolerant or something so you have to be more careful about what you eat :O

Rain Collectors

The Rain Collectors should have appropriate in-game titles.

The square rain collector should be named 'Lesser Rain Collector' or something like that to reflect the capacity difference between the two available entities.

Also, the in-game description should indicate the capacity for each Rain Collector.

 

I didn't find out until I looked on the wiki that there's a technical difference between the two Rain Collectors. After I disassembled the square Rain Collector I only got 2 planks back at Carpentry 8 so that was frustrating.

 

Also it would be appropriate if the bigger "barrel" Rain Collector graphic/model had the trash bag visual incorporated somehow (like the square collector), considering that it's a part of the crafting recipe.

Hello, I am admin of a server in Brazil. it is a server without mod.

have some suggestions to improve the game in some points.
 
Besides of course the server optimization. that is using a lot of memory 20gb and it is necessary to restart every 2 hours. Another point is the vehicles. mainly for passengers.


Now the most important points for a good PVP:

It needs a mechanic that forbids other players to log out in an enemy base. (if an enemy player tries to log out in an enemy base, his character's body cannot disappear) (this warning appears on the screen before logging out) and you have to activate a cooldown of about 30 seconds to log out regardless of where. there are a lot of people using alt+f4.
 
This server does not have a safehouse.
Even without the safehouse benefits. had to have an option to declare the location of the base. For enemy player not able to log in.

Since NPC is coming to the game, are you guys planning on NPC's events? like getting raid by looters, car accidents survivors nearby(good/bad npcs), Heli crash survivors, a new community built by few NPCs survivors or we make the community from scratch ourselves and wondering survivors get to come & offer their help in exchange to live in the community. Do we get to help them recruit, build, loot supplies, defend from zombies/raiders and stuff? Also are they gonna get their own fixed skills sets or are we gonna train them ourselves?

Hi Dev-Team

I already posted this on steam but since the discussionboard there gets flooded within minutes I thought I'd repost it here - so please don't think I try to nag about it. Well actually I do nag but with all the good intentions ;)

 

I'd really like to see the fast-forward option on MP-server like it works in solo play. It could be a setting as sleeping is and could work so that if one player clicks fast-forward the others get a msg like "getstoopid is requesting fast-forward" or whatever and it starts skipping if all active players also starts timeskipping - so some players could sleep (and skipping time) while others read, wash, cook or just rest. It would greatly increase the playability I think - Noone would need to disconnect so others can sleep and reading wouldn't "steal my play-time".

I'm all-in for realism but watching my character read is.. well you know *g

nice! also are you guys planning to add Louisville border event? where military guys are guarding the blockade and gets overrun by zeds after a week? and if you do could we have 1/4 chance or 3/4 chance(with charisma related trait) to convince them to join us before they get overrun, but if they refuse they will still be there guarding the blockade until they die. then add some lore about their 1 week struggle by having written journals spread all over the base and 1 unique zombie hold the last unfinished journal.

These are suggestions that I don't know if you've already made them, but that would certainly increase the immersion in the game. 
In short, it's having more interaction with objects. 

I think is easily of implement in parallel development
  in near future updates.


Interaction with tiles/ objects that affect your character:
- Sit on chair/couch, improve Endurace/Tired rate.
- Lie down in beds, without sleep, slow drecreasing tired/Endurace.
- Lie down in medicinal bed, reducing/drecreasing sick rate, with can be upgrade with mobile bloodbag next to bed.
- Play in fun objects and tiles can take the stress/unhappy out of the character, such as pimbal, videogme, arcade machine, jukebox musc, piano (but cause noise, can be used with headphone).
- Jukebox reducing strees but making noise. (Maybe dance animation? Desnecessary in this case.)
- Gym equipment tiles can be used to acelerate de fitness rate.
- Make soda with high cooking skill, with a soda machine, filtred water, sugar and some fruits.
- Make popcorn with a popcorn machine, using popcorn and butter.
- Make coffe with coffe machine, reduce your tired but inscrease your stress
- Can learn information of environment with some tiles, like time in wall clock, and weight with weighing Scale.
- Reduce the ambient indoor temperature with Air Conditioner. Being able to keep doors and windows closed without having to remove your clothes. But can cause hypothermia with no precaution.
- Play pool with a friend with pool table, reducing stress/unhappy
I was going to suggest masonry, but I learn that they were already working on it in proximity of Build 42.

I suggest that u can customize how many time it takes to loot for respawn, because the game only lets u 1 day 1 week and like that , but i want it to respawn in 12 hours or less on my SB singleplayer, the only way i can make it spawn in the time i want is by playing it in cooperative and setting the config that it has called hours till loot respawn and i would like if that could be on  the sandbox options

I've looked around and haven't found much but I'm wondering if playing as a zombie is confirmed a no by the devs. I know that it isn't realistic but I think it would be a fun addition or a fun option to add into the game as a pvp aspect. If anyone could reply to this about information regarding what the devs have said about this it would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately there is no subway in Louisville nor in other in game towns.

However I guess they could take some liberties and add a subway system in Louisville, but I would find it weird to have a subway system in little towns like Muldraugh and Westpoint.

Could anyone ask any of the devs if it's possible to make an ingame Mod Benchmark option, where the game can run a game in some sort of benchmark test to check what mods, with what, and where is the conflict with other mods? I think something like this would be of great help, not just for the players to see where is the problem but also it would be of  great help to those who are making mods!!!
Going through the error report for a lot of people can be stressful to find a problem, and most of the time not understanding what it's showing!

I think a new trait that could be negative would be 'Neat-freak', anytime your person gets really dirty or in dirty surroundings, they will (in an hour of staying there or probably a couple of minutes in real time) probably get a queasy moodlet and start getting stressed, or unhappy/depressed. And the negative trait could be fixed by cleaning up your area, or washing yourself and your clothes. If anything, it should take off either +2, +4, or +6. I don't think it's so extreme of a trait to be so giving.

I think it would be really cool if players could create their own power grid in a fully-player-made base/home or modify existing power grids. 

I'm essentially looking for a way to be able to build my own house from scratch, and be able to make my own ceiling lights, light switches on the walls, and have a working power grid so I can throw a fridge or two down in various places.

or even just be able to run a line of "extension cords" from a generator or powered building to some lamp posts or other outdoor lights so I can light up my driveway with out having to burn through a metric ton of batteries.

So this would be a specific map expansion, probably on the other side of the river, after npcs are added to the game. Going off the basis of the lore, the starting day (0), the Knox County Power Plant, which could be Nuclear or just a general power plant (Nuclear fuel would last longer so I prefer Nuclear Reactor, and it wouldn't be susceptible to Meltdown) that would be occupied and guarded by hostile military NPC's until day 7, in which military attempts to pull out of the area. This won't effect the power cutoff day, as you could say the other regional power plants and batteries are still powering the county, but the power plant is turned off and full of zombies. The player, if they choose to travel to the plant before or after the power goes off, or have the max electrical and mechanical skill, can restart the power plant. It would be difficult to do alone but possible, and the mechanical and electrical engineering traits can be shared between players in mp. After power is restored, the plant can be protected and be able to cut off power to different regions of Knox County, use of power warfare against factions. It can technically be a base location but not a safehouse. If enough damage is done to the reactor components, like coolant or just general hull, the plant will go into a 'safe mode' and shut off before it is repaired, which requires high levels of maybe metal working etc. But this should definitely be a late game location and an update that takes place after military vehicles and npcs.
