Breaking Branches Off Trees

So I could see this happen to someone:


Accidently fall out of a 2 story window, fracture leg, losing health fast.

Still no axe, so no branches or any splint materials

RIP



I feel like you should be able to break off branches off of trees. It shouldn't be a split-second thing, but it should take you a few seconds, maybe 5.  This would be sped up with a saw or axe, making the time quicker. If this was added, you could still splint yourself without having to have one of the game's rarest weapons.

Yes, but his point is to be able to get a branch quickly before loosing health

Yeah, I can understand that... I was just remarking on his comment about not being able to get splint materials without an axe.

 

Would also be nice if you could break a chair leg off for making splints.

You could also break doors for planks I assume. But yeah, would be nice to have an effect on what you can get from a tree outside of cutting it or foraging for random stuff, or to break some furniture
