First rule of PZ development: there are no ETAs.

With that being said if you read the mondoids you would know that the Devs are closer than you might think about vehicles. They are already modeled, have realistic physics, and are operational (we've seen photos). As I understand it the issue holding them back from release is a map streaming issue, the way the game loads map data as you travel. On foot your rig has plenty of time to render the upcoming map data. Not so much in a vehicle. They are working with contracted specialists on MP issues that will hopefully resolve this soonish.

Feel free to correct me if anyone has differing information.

What do you mean with ETAs?

ETA= Estimated Time of Arrival

They have a no ETA policy. No good can come from ETAs. If the ETA is missed by the devs for any of the myriad of plausible reasons, the community will be upset. Worse, they release an unfinished, buggy, or broken feature to make the ETA and again the community is upset. The only 'good' they can do is 'motivate' the dev team to get work done. But TIS is financially stable with a great community. There's just no need to rush their work. They don't have a major publishing company breathing down their throats in expectation of a major payday on release day.

It can be frustrating for us since we're all eager to see the updates, but in reality, knowing/thinking that an update is coming on X date doesn't do us in the community any good either. Hypothetically, if cars were said to be released in 3 weeks, that doesn't help or change anything for us. But, if you logged in tomorrow and saw cars you would be super stoked and excited :)

I haven't seen the photos. Do you have a link? :P

EDIT: Nevermind. Found the one already sent.

I'm a little down about the fact that the post was made in JUNE OF 2014, but hey, I've already predicted the game's release date to be at September of 2018 or early 2019. If it's not at 1.0 by then, that's when I'd lose faith. Just gotta be honest here. The only way I wouldn't lose faith by early 2019 is if we recieve at least one of the remaining three planned 1.0 features and it is AMAZING. I'm willing to wait a really long time for something amazing.
