Strats
My character has survived for around 3 months and his tavern base is beginning to be swarmed by too many hordes to handle. I have decided to relocate to the Muldraugh railyard and log wall off the entrances in order to prevent zombies from respawning. My question is: since the railyard is such a large area, if I wall off the entrances, will respawning still occur? Thanks!-Strats
Magic Mark
Just be sure to clear it yourself - the area is huge, there are a lot of nooks and crannies. That, and one whole corner of fence isn't complete. IMO It's much too large for a single person. You'd spend all day just running around the place once. Strats
My base wouldn't be the whole yard just the parking lot in the bottom left yard. Securing the entrances is more of a convenience.
Pann
I have actually walled it off before, (several months ago- so that could be an issue) and it did still have respawning in it. It IS possible I missed parts of it, but I believe it was due to respawning as more and more zombies kept coming after I cleaned it out. That being said, it was still FAR less than large populated areas.
Strats
So, do the railroad yard fences not count in the respawning system then? Interesting. It may be because the area takes up so many chunks of loaded space, but I'm not quite sure.
Magic Mark
If it doesn't work, that's likely because it spans over several cells. If it works how it's supposed to, you have to be sure to clear every cell and those surrounding it. A good way to circumvent it for a SP playthrough is to play with the respawning in sandbox.
