And I'm sorry for bad english , it is the fault of the translator google ! Was the game working in Build 32 and stopped working in Build 33? Exactly , it stopped working after the update to build 33 ! Have you tried restarting without IWBUMS in Build 32 to see if it still works? Just want to isolate Build 33 as being the only change on your computer or not. If Build 32 still work you might want to consider deleting local content and redoing a full install (I had to do that at one point in the past). I returned to build 32.30 and the game works perfectly! Only in build 33 what's going on the error. My computer is not good, but I never had problems with Project Zomboid. vanorfeadiel Posted November 17, 2015 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Assuming you are using Windows: Only thing I can suggest is some of the following:1-reinstall Project Zomboid Completely (after selecting Delete Local Content in Steam).2-Set all graphic option to minimum in game in build 32.30 and switch to 33 with lowest setting (it carries over from one build to the other).3-Make sure you have the latest version of Java. If that still doesn't work move this discussion to the PZ Support section (should really be there - Mods feel free to move Thiago's post and mine there so we don't clutter this thread too much). Dog barks, gun shots and alarms are disproportionately loud, hurt my ears and are just a little too much. If they were a little more balanced with the rest of the environmental audio of the game, a little bit more on the level of what they were in previous versions, it'd be better/less distracting. Second thing that struck me as odd was the occasional dropping out of sound effects from my character's actions--in general; fighting, drinking, looting, etc. I thought it was odd that it would cut out to silent while I was whacking a zombie in the head with a blunt object. I think a little investigation and tweaking in those audio areas would be good--just my play-testing critique so far. Off to continue playing... vickorano Posted November 17, 2015 Share Posted November 17, 2015 Being out by a farm house in a field, I see a hoard of zombies doing the Thriller dance to what I can only assume is ambient noise. They are constantly pulled by sounds from all around and do not stop moving. I can only say that this is weird, difficult to deal with, highly unpredictable and probably another audio-related problem. I can understand a hoard moving toward a dog barking, or just milling about in a field reacting to their own sounds, as with their AI in previous versions. After a while some sounds started to just be static. Went out of the house I was held up in and fought a zombie and the game crashed out to main menu with a red rectangle and a 2 in the centre of it. Dog barks, gun shots and alarms are disproportionately loud, hurt my ears and are just a little too much. If they were a little more balanced with the rest of the environmental audio of the game, a little bit more on the level of what they were in previous versions, it'd be better/less distracting. Second thing that struck me as odd was the occasional dropping out of sound effects from my character's actions--in general; fighting, drinking, looting, etc. I thought it was odd that it would cut out to silent while I was whacking a zombie in the head with a blunt object. I think a little investigation and tweaking in those audio areas would be good--just my play-testing critique so far. Off to continue playing... This is a bug, we'll get it fixed in next day or two. As other's have reported i'm having the same issue with meta noise's being incredibly loud. A meta noise was triggered and instead of me hearing the noise it just kept making this constant computer sounding beep, it stopped when I went back to the main menu. Also on custom sand box with the zombie settings as there are no matter how many times I spawn the door's and windows to my spawn house keep getting smashed within literally 1 min of me spawning. I'll add that to my topic about FMOD balancing... Yeah and what the heck? I noticed that doors/windows seem to have dramatically lower health as well. Windows smashing in ~ 10 seconds with only 1 - 3 zombies attacking it? It's ridiculous! Can we get a developer to comment on whether it's intentional or a bug? Game-crippling bugs are to be expected from beta builds, I just wanna know if it's a bug or if it's meant to amp up difficulty. To achieve optimum legibility you need to get as high contrast between the text and the background as possible. It's WAY too loud.Was blindcoder's Secondhand Loot mod integrated into the game?Loot distribution in "Profession Houses" feels like it spawns too much stuff if you ask me.The corpses of "survivors" have way too much stuff on them. I found 5 hunting rifles, 3 shotguns and a ton of ammo 1 hour in. Usually each corpse had more than one gun on it.Edit: Also, this sometimes happens. Sometimes. My opinion on zombie distribution is it's exactly the same as it always been i.e every neighborhood full to the brim with zombies, and neighborhoods on the outskirt literally being devoid off all zombies. This is fine for me as I've been playing for a long time, however am I the only one getting really bored of every area of the game being absolutely rammed with zombies? I've played with the setting for months and I can't make it so you go to one neighborhood and its full of zeds, you then run to the next neighborhood and it the same, full to the brim. You then go to the next neighborhood and its sort of quite a few zeds hear and there but nothing too bad. You then run to the next area and it looks the same, you run round the corner and get your face eaten by the world largest horde. They are constantly pulled by sounds from all around and do not stop moving. I can only say that this is weird, difficult to deal with, highly unpredictable and probably another audio-related problem. I can understand a hoard moving toward a dog barking, or just milling about in a field reacting to their own sounds, as with their AI in previous versions. I dunno, this seems more like something that should be addressed. It visually looks like a bug. Off to continue playing... +1 I've been out for quite some time, decided to give the game another try before build 33 and after it, just to see where we are heading. Build 32 gameplay felt balanced. It was harder than I remembered, but really fun. I saw my girlfriend dying one time after the other. Just as expected from a new player. I gave build 33 a try yesterday. I died a lot. I'm used to this sensation when jumping in a new build... but after a few hours I kept on dying. Most of the times due to unmanagable amounts of zombies, and that they are constantly moving, attracted by way too many audio events. A scream, a dog bark, a helicopter, a gunshot... you keep hearing them, and they cause all the Zs to be dancing around the map. As you move tiles to try to save your skin, you generate more and more movement. I won't say it wasn't fun, but after a few tries I gave up. It felt more like one of the scenarios: built for a quick play. All this is under survival, which is the main mode I've been playing / testing since I started with PZ. I've seen that this mode is now labelled as "Hardcore", is this a new direction to the mode or was this the original design? If so, could we know (has been asked before in this thread) what's the lifespan intended for this mode? When does the "late game" starts in survival? Getting out of the gameplay front, changes in the main menu are good. The new sounds and tracks are nice. My sound equipment at the moment sucks big time so I cannot tell how the 3D is working. RobertJohnson Posted November 17, 2015 Author Share Posted November 17, 2015 Survival always been our hardcore mode, the "The First Week" mode is more like a "normal" difficulty mode. 6 Months is also a really hard mode But yeah, Survival is more a late game difficulty mode, the first month should be ok-ish to good players (Twiggy? ) but then you always have to be aware of all your surrounding, always check if there's not a horde somewhere, etc...
