Craftable well

All you need is a shovel or two. A rope, a bucket, wood, anchor point, concrete mix and a bunch of rocks...You can dig a well in a month time, maybe more. Shorter if you have a group working on it. Great resource for community building anywhere on the map. How hard can it be???

There are ways one might search for water, relying on specific geological and topographical features to give clues. A good example of one such clue is to search for a place where the local grasses and weeds are thriving, even if the surrounding areas are not. It suggests that there is a water table beneath that soil. 

 

But yes, not just anyone is going to know that, and not every well is going to yield results.

Given the amount of little creeks in and around the two main locations in PZ (real life) currently I really dont see a pressing need to add that option.

 

That said, digging a well could be a good way to get water in later game.

IMO in an area with such high rain, and water availability a well in your backyard would be chuck full of water. Imagine digging a hole on the beach. It'll get water in no time.

 

It ought to be tainted water, but easy water nonetheless.
