looking for the itemnames used by lua

Hi Guys,

 

A quick question. I am going to refer to items ingame to create new recipes.

But i cannot find here the ingame items names are. For example:

 

Creating a pot of cut potatoes -

Where do i find the "pot"?

There are two files in Projectzomboid/media/lua/scripts called "items.txt" and "newitems.txt"

In there you will find many lines starting with "item Something", in this case "Something" will be the name for the recipe.

Next thing is how to "cheat" me some items for testing the code i made.

I managed to start with debugger, but i cannot find any clues on spawning items in ...

You can use NecroForge for that.

Also the recipes don't seem to work, although i have everything on me :/

Here is one of the recipes:

recipe Make Pot of Cut Potato
    {
    Pot,
    keep KitchenKnife/HuntingKnife/ButterKnife,
    Potato  = 1,
    Water   = 0.5,
    Result:   PotOfCutPotato,
    Time:     30.0,
    Category: Carpentry,
    }

 

EDIT: Found the issue. It was the potatoe, that needs to get imported from the farming module

Did you wrap it in a module Something { } bracket?

And to add Necroforge support for your own items, check out the necroforge thread, there's a howto in there.

If your recipe is written properly it will appear in the Crafting UI (The screen that comes up when you press B or the Crafting Icon on the top left)
