Before you all start screaming WTF imagine getting a horde into a building turning on a generator and killing them all in one shot? Or maybe in MP, some guy is annoying you, you can draw him into a barricaded house lock him in and turn on the generator what an amazingly easy way to kill people! LeoIvanov Posted June 13, 2015 Share Posted June 13, 2015 Since we're talking about zombies that are heavily inspired by Romero and Max Brooks lore, then the tl;dr answer is : No. Zombies absolutely don't need the working, functional lungs, or to consume oxygen in any way to continue their motor functions. You can literally pull their lungs from inside out through their mouth, cut them off and they will still be walking around and attempt to bite you. syfy Posted June 13, 2015 Share Posted June 13, 2015 MANY people playing their new games from the Steam sale right now, so you get off lucky today the ONLY way to kill the zombies is to destroy the brain. so poisonous air won't matter.neither would making them drink acid. or having a snake like the Costa Rican Fer de Lance (Bothrops Asper) with Necrotic venom bite them ( the venom destroys flesh, it's gruesome as hell) or a Black Mamba with it's highly deadly venom. go ahead and decapitate one, the body won't do anything, but the head would still be active and bite you if you got close enough. again, as long as the brain stays active, the zombie will continue to look for things to bite and eat Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rathlord Posted June 14, 2015 Share Posted June 14, 2015 Not a bad thought, but the "gas" from a generator is not "gasoline" gas, it's referring to the gaseous state of a substance- specifically, in this case, carbon monoxide. Like Ratlord said, that gas that comes from the Generator is a residue, like CO2 or CO1, not sure which one, the only thing that would explode would be the propane tank, shoting a normal propane tank is not going to explode as you think it will, it will make a good explosion and burn a good amount of zombies while also making a big flame were the bullet hit, but is not going to be enough to destroy the horde that soon after will come for your ass.I still imagine it would be like WWZ where using bombs against zombies is not going to deal a whole lot of damage.
