Gustav
Why doesn't fire burn Trees?
UnmotivatedZombie
It does... but to spread it to trees, usually you have to walk into the fire and rub up against a few trees once you are on fire (if using a campfire). Or, start a fire in a building with ovens and just wait. if there are trees in the same block, and it doesn't rain, they should catch fire. ... don't ask about how I know the first one.... BetaSpectre
Trees don't catch on fire, the ground underneath might.
silents429
Why would you want it added?I would find it more of an annoyance then anything to add to the gameplay. I know a lot of people want to have campfire and live in the wilderness. With the way the fire spreads I would see it likely a campfire would cause a lot of problems. BetaSpectre
Talking about the game mechanics, and IRL a well watered forest ain't burning without some napalm.
silents429
Guy above is right. Rains plenty in Kentucky, it isn't dry enough for a forest to start burning.
SomeRandomGuy
Yup. You don't get forest fires unless it's in a dry area and Kentucky is far from dry so the fire spread mechanic needs some work yet. Green wood that's full of sap does not burn, likewise for healthy grass.
King jjwpenguin
Its realistic but it would be a little to annoying. Plus in build 32 some trolls will grab a Molotov and wreck people on servers.
