Longstrides357
Hello everyone. I am very interested in delving further into the modding capabilities of this game.I would like to start with very simple sprite replacement for vanilla items in the game. Can someone give me a brief walkthrough of this process please?
Dragonbahn
Do you mean like a texture pack or do you also want to modify the items properties?
Zheo
Do you mean like a texture pack or do you also want to modify the items properties? Or do you mean the 3D models?
Svarog
If all you want is to replace a default sprite with a new one, check out one of my sprite recolor mods.http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/12320-various-sprite-recolors/All they do is change the sprite of Base items, they should serve as a relatively good template. Longstrides357
Well I have a custom made sprite for the pistol. I want to make the icon look more like the Beretta 92fs. I just want to know where the directory for the icon is. Also Svarog^ I checked out your mod. I might use it on a later playthrough.
Svarog
Game Textures are located in media\textures within .pack files, you need something like PZ Unpacker but if you want to replace something then making a simple mod is really the easiest way to go about it.For now only models are made in such way that actually replacing a game file is necessary. Longstrides357
So if I unpack this texture and replace the icon, do I have to put that in a mod folder? I thought I heard that somewhere.
