Basically whenever you write something ANYWHERE like in the Challenge modes.

 

The entry has a chance to spawn under the title of your entry.

 

Single Player mostly, but this way you can read about your previous lives, and what they've gone through maybe even search for complete volumes.

 

Each entry should spawn very rarely, and never duplicate on the same map once its in your inventory. And duplicates disappear and become Empty Notebooks.
